Meet our team of Youth Leaders!
Caroline is a student at Jupiter Community High School who is passionate about the ocean and corresponding conservation efforts. In her sophomore year she joined the youth-led initiative BluEco swaps in order to help her community make sustainable swaps that help the ocean. Through this program she hopes to channel her passion of the ocean into something that helps both the environment and community.
Nicole is a high school senior with plans to pursue a degree in either marine biology or psychology at university. Her passion for conservation is reflected through her work as a hospital interpreter at Loggerhead MarineLife Center and as the leader of youth volunteers for Amazonas Sin Limites, a non-profit focused on protecting the Amazon and supporting its communities. Nicole is also a member of programs such as Latinos in Action, where she helps lift first-generation South American youth. Her love for sustainability recently earned her a spot as a BlueEco Swaps Youth Ambassador. Nicole enjoys traveling, eating different cuisines, and meeting new people. Her favorite sea creatures are the box jellyfish.
Bridget is currently a sophomore at Jupiter High School with a strong passion for STEM fields. Her curiosity about environmental science grew after attending workshops through BluEco Swaps and hearing expert perspectives and learning about the impact of human activities on the environment. This eye-opening experience inspired Bridget to take action, and through her role as a Youth Ambassador for BluEco Swaps, she hopes to make an impact in her community and environment by encouraging businesses to adopt sustainable practices.
In her free time, Bridget enjoys walking along the beach and admiring sunsets, while immersing herself in music. Her love and appreciation for nature's beauty drives her to protect it as much as possible!
Sydney is a freshman at Suncoast High School and a nationally competitive figure skater. Her passion for wildlife conservation has led her to participate in various programs with wildlife centers. Additionally, she helped lead "Khaki Club," a conservation club dedicated to preserving the legacy of Steve Irwin. She is also the freshman class lobbyist for the Suncoast Climate Action Club, which advocates for energy-efficient and sustainable policies. In her role, she continues to push for policies that impact not only land but also the ocean. Although she loves all marine life, including coral and kelp, her favorite sea critter is the leopard shark
Camila recently graduated with her bachelor's degree in marine biology from Florida Atlantic University Honors College in Jupiter. She worked as a Marine Science Educator at Loggerhead Marinelife Center and is about to start an internship with REEF in Key Largo, Florida, working on marine education and conservation. She is also part of Earth Echo’s Youth Leadership Council, where she works towards ensuring youth are empowered to make changes for the benefit of our ocean. These experiences led her to create BluEco Swaps, which combines her drive to educate and empower youth with her enthusiasm for sustainability. Camila loves to walk in nature (beach, forest, or anywhere else!), SCUBA dive, and spend time with friends and family.
Her favorite sea creatures (at the moment) are sea cucumbers!
